Ranscombe Anniversary Celebrations – Veteran Trees and Plants Guided Walk with Plantlife and National Trust
Join us to see one of the UK’s best collections of ancient and veteran trees at Cobham Wood. This event is being held as part of our 20th anniversary celebration week at Ranscombe Farm Nature Reserve.

Immediately west of the woodland at Ranscombe Farm is Cobham Wood, which is home to one of the UK’s best collections of ancient and veteran trees.
Join the National Trust’s Jonathan Ireland and Plantlife’s Ben Sweeney to discover the story of these two nationally important sites, the challenges that they face, and the plans for working together in the future as part of the new North Kent Woods and Downs National Nature Reserve.
What do You Need to Know?
- This event is not suitable for wheelchairs/pushchairs
- There will be walking of up to 4 miles
- There will be some steep hills
- Please come dressed for the weather and the terrain for example: Walking boots or sturdy shoes, waterproofs if needed, hat and sun cream in warmer weather and extra water
All ages welcome however under 18s must be accompanied and fully supervised by a responsible adult.
