The PBC is a social enterprise which we own and work closely with to help partners from a broad range of sectors. What services do we offer?
Our PBC team offer a number of services from surveys to training courses.
Restoration and Management Planning
We work in partnership with you to help restore and manage your land according to your vision. With 35 years of experience working with landowners we collaborate with you to establish site specific objectives and targets based on survey results, implement the best actions, and monitor the outcomes.
Quantification
Our team has extensive experience with the Defra 4.0 biodiversity metric and can also work with you to create custom measurements to suit any vision.
So, whether you want to engage in nature markets or show your success to stakeholders, you’ll want to measure your biodiversity outputs accurately.
Nature Markets
We specialise in providing quantifiable biodiversity enhancements to buyers in nature markets.
Working in partnership with landowners we have a significant pipeline of land which has been surveyed and is poised for restoration.
By leveraging this pipeline, you can fulfil your biodiversity commitments at a landscape scale. We prioritise long-term collaboration with our partners, ensuring that your investment yields perpetual benefits.
Monitoring
Monitoring is a vital part of restoration. It allows you to evidence outputs, identify and address problems, as well as learn what works well.
We will work with you to develop and implement a monitoring framework which meets your needs and aspirationss, enabling your to demonstrate the impact of your hard work.

We offer a variety of surveys to meet the specific needs of your site including:
- UKHab habitat type and condition assessment
- Preliminary Ecological Assessment
- National Vegetation Classification (NVC)
- Specialist lichen and bryophyte survey
- Rapid Grassland Assessment
- Rapid Woodland Assessment
- Strategic walkover survey
We provide accurate survey results with information and the insight you need to help you plan impactful restoration work.
Training
Our training is designed to inspire and enable you and your teams to deliver nature restoration to a high standard.
We are flexible in how and where our courses are delivered according to your needs. We are happy to devise bespoke online or in-person training packages throughout any location in the UK.

Small Sites Package
Our small sites package offers work for sites of up to 10 hectares at a fixed cost of £2,850*+VAT + travel.
This includes is:
- Soil sampling
- Survey to classify habitats and identify any noteworthy plant species
- Survey report
- Outline management plan
